This is a limpia ceremony in Mexico City. The Danzantes follow the rhythms of the huéhuetl drum, creating an energy circle that attracts the spirits of the Aztec gods with their dances and the rattling sounds of the ayoyotls attached to their feet. No instruments were added, this is sound art. Every sound you hear was always there, its hidden music.
